Dr Shekha Bhuva is a Specialist Periodontist and Implant Surgeon with over 20 years of experience in dentistry and 15 with in periodontics and Implant dentistry. 

The majority  of Shekha’s practice is now dedicated to Implant Dentistry, providing treatment from simple single-tooth replacement to complex implant rehabilitation and full-arch procedures. She offers a complete implant service, from extraction and site preparation through to implant placement, bone grafting, sinus augmentation and final restoration. She has undertaken extensive postgraduate training in implant dentistry in the UK and internationally, including advanced education in Dubai and Barcelona, ensuring patients benefit from the latest evidence-based techniques and high standards of care.

She is also on the faculty of the Global Implant Institute, a teaching program for complex implant dentistry. 

She qualified from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in 2005 before completing hospital posts in Oral Surgery and Restorative Dentistry, followed by a four-year Master’s degree in Periodontology at Guy’s Hospital, graduating with Honours in 2012. She has worked in specialist private practice across Hertfordshire and Harley Street and has taught postgraduate dentists at the Eastman Dental Hospital. She has also been actively involved with the British Society of Periodontology and has examined for Royal College postgraduate examinations.

As a Specialist Periodontist, Shekha has a unique understanding of the gums and bone that support long-term implant success. She is known for her gentle manner, honest advice and meticulous approach to treatment planning, helping patients feel informed and confident throughout their care. Whether replacing a single missing tooth or providing complex full-mouth and full-arch implant solutions, her aim is always to deliver natural-looking, functional and long-lasting results.
